Michael Spicer posted a wonderful clip yesterday "If art critics spoke like football pundits."
Here is my response: If football pundits spoke like Art Historians.
@MrMichaelSpicer#Football#Art
Iranian football fans at Azadi stadium chanting seemingly rude anti-Palestine 🇵🇸 slogans last night feels highly offensive. But here’s the context:
The Iranian government is behind the appalling terror attacks just seen in Israel. The people inside Iran support Palestine but not with terrorism. God knows they’ve seen enough of it inflicted on them by their own government. They also have nothing against Jews or Israelis.
So the chant “shove that Palestinian flag up your arse!” is really not aimed at Palestine, it’s aimed at the Islamic regime officials waiving the flag and what THEY represent, NOT the flag.
True, using the Palestinian flag as some extremely esoteric way to denote condemnation of the IRANIAN regime does seem moronic and misguided. But that’s football fans for you.
So for clarity of intent, an alternative chant could have been “Jihadi wankers, stop the flag-waving bollocks, you don’t give two shits about Palestine, you never have, no one wanted this, now hundreds of innocents are dead on both sides, NOT in OUR name, you absolute filth shit bag bastards.”
I hope that clears it up.
I would like to ask your support towards my annual fund raise for Cycling without Age

@MarcusChhan Both of those things. He's not as good as Aguerd either. So at 20 million plus the 6 million salary it's a risk, but prevalent ok. At 40 million, no way.
