PFC Bradford Freeman, last surviving member of Easy Company, of Band of Brothers fame has passed away, aged 97.

His death reminds us that daily the voices of those who saw, served and survived this terrible conflict grow fewer in number. Soon they will all be gone.

When is a @CWGC headstone not? Although it looks very similar this headstone for Lt Col Whitehead of 6 Gurkhas in St Bartholomews churchyard in Burwash is not CWGC. Anyone know anything about him?

@nleaney @CWGC Thanks Nigel makes sense, given his age I wondered if he died in service or shortly after. From a distance I thought it was CWGC then realised it wasnt.
