Agree the thing is you have to look where we are coming from. Bitcoin is simple but extremly trustless. I dont think we can call anything Defi yet as long as we have to trust someone. If there is a team that holds the upgrade authority security is important but you can have all security in the world it is still not Defi... For me Defi is trustless and therfore the only way is to simplify our systems so that we finally can get to a point where we have frozen contracts and dont have to trust any dev or company.
Apparently it is necessary to point it out. As a journalist, you should know what 'shifting the burden of proof' is. I can't just call someone a murderer and say, 'Prove to me they didn't do it!' If you make a serious claim like murder, the burden of proof is entirely on you. Basic logic.
Name-calling (#RussianBot) usually starts when logical arguments end. Since you value your degree so much, I suggest re-reading the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Code of Ethics: 'Label advocacy and commentary.' Or the Reuters Handbook: 'Reuters journalists do not express their opinions.' Blurring the lines between factual reporting and your personal bias isn't award-winning news journalism; it's activism. Here is the official SPJ link to refresh your memory: https://t.co/2DI0N94kbe
If you are writing fact-based news and weave your personal opinion into it, you are violating the fundamental 'Rule of Separation' (separating news from commentary). Every journalism 101 class teaches this. Mixing facts with personal bias in reporting makes you an activist, not a journalist.
