I demanded in Parliament that PATERNITY LEAVE should be a legal right in India.

When a child is born, both parents are congratulated. But caregiving responsibility falls on one. The mother.

A father should not have to choose between caregiving for his newborn and keeping his job. And a mother should not have to go through childbirth & recovery without her husband’s support

Right after childbirth the woman, needs her husband’s presence the most. The husband’s caregiving responsibility towards his wife is equally important.

I raised this issue in Parliament because caregiving is a shared responsibility. Our laws must reflect that.

I welcome the hike in STT (security transaction tax) on derivatives as it can curb reckless speculation. Nearly 90% of retail investors lose money in F&O, turning markets into gambling.

When STT was originally introduced, LTCG was zero. But now with both STT and LTCG in place, investors are disincentivised.

I urge the govt to abolish LTCG on equities for individuals, as done in Switzerland, Singapore, UAE & others. This will boost household wealth, reduce speculation, and shift savings from gold & real estate into equities.

(ईशावास्योपनिषद)

ईशावास्योपनिषद का यह अष्टम मंत्र, वेदान्त का हृदय है। यहाँ उपनिषद् ब्रह्म के निर्गुण-निराकार स्वरूप का परम आश्रय रूप में उद्घाटन करता है। श्रीमद् आदिशंकराचार्य अपने भाष्य में स्पष्ट करते हैं कि यह मंत्र साधक को बाह्य दृश्य जगत से हटाकर उस एक अद्वितीय सत्य की ओर ले जाता है, जो नित्य, निष्कलंक और सर्वव्यापक है।

पदान्वय और भावार्थ -
•"सः पर्यगात्" — वही (ब्रह्म) सब ओर व्याप्त है, सबका आच्छादन करता है, किन्तु किसी में लिप्त नहीं होता।
•"शुक्रम्" — ज्योतिर्मय, चेतनस्वरूप, शुद्ध प्रकाश के समान।
•"अकायम्" — जिसका कोई स्थूल-सूक्ष्म शरीर नहीं; देहधर्म से रहित।
•"अव्रणम्" — जिसमें कोई दोष या खोट नहीं।
•"अस्नाविरम्" — नस-रक्तादि से रहित; भौतिक रचना का अंश नहीं।
•"शुद्धम्" — माया और उसके उपाधियों से सर्वथा परे।
•"अपापविद्धम्" — पाप के स्पर्श से अतीत, पुण्यापुण्य से परे।
•"कविः" — सर्वज्ञ, कालत्रयदर्शी।
•"मनीषी" — अनन्त चैतन्य में स्थित, तत्वबुद्धि से युक्त।
•"परिभूः" — सबका अतिक्रमण करने वाला, सभी के ऊपर स्थित।
•"स्वयम्भूः" — स्वयंभू, किसी कारण से उत्पन्न नहीं।
•"यथातथ्यतः अर्थान् व्यदधात्" — जैसे हैं वैसे ही, सब पदार्थों की व्यवस्था करता है।
•"शाश्वतीभ्यः समाभ्यः" — शाश्वत कालों से यही सत्य प्रतिष्ठित है।

भगवद्पाद आदि शंकराचार्य कहते हैं कि
यह मंत्र ब्रह्म की निर्दोष, निरुपाधिक सत्ता का प्रतिपादन करता है। ब्रह्म का पर्यगत होना इस तथ्य का बोध कराता है कि वह सर्वव्यापक है, किन्तु वस्तुओं की भाँति सीमित नहीं। “अकाय” शब्द से यह निष्कर्ष निकलता है कि ब्रह्म न जन्म लेता है, न बदलता है, और न ही विनष्ट होता है। “शुद्ध” और “अपापविद्ध” से संकेत है कि उसमें संसार का संसर्ग भी नहीं है—न पुण्य, न पाप, न बन्धन, न मुक्ति; ये सब केवल जीव के अज्ञानजन्य उपाधि में हैं।

आदि शंकराचार्य स्पष्ट करते हैं कि “कवि” और “मनीषी” शब्द ब्रह्म के सर्वज्ञ और सर्वशक्तिमान स्वरूप को व्यक्त करते हैं, किन्तु यह सर्वज्ञता किसी मानसिक क्रिया का परिणाम नहीं, बल्कि स्वभावतः नित्य है।

अद्वैत में ब्रह्म ही एकमात्र सत्य है—"सत्यं ज्ञानम् अनन्तम् ब्रह्म"। इस मंत्र में जो विशेषण आए हैं—शुद्ध, अपापविद्ध, अकाय, अव्रण—ये सभी जगत में किसी भी वस्तु पर लागू नहीं हो सकते, केवल ब्रह्म पर ही लागू होते हैं।

•सर्वव्यापकता (पर्यगत) यह दर्शाती है कि ब्रह्म ‘यहाँ’ और ‘वहाँ’ का भेद रहित है।
•निर्दोषत्व (अव्रण, अपापविद्ध) यह सिद्ध करता है कि ब्रह्म किसी कर्मफल से बंधा नहीं।
•निराकारत्व (अकाय, अस्नाविर) यह बताता है कि ब्रह्म इन्द्रियगोचर नहीं, केवल आत्मानुभव से ही जाना जा सकता है। अद्वैत का साधक इस मंत्र को श्रवण-मनन-निदिध्यासन में रखते हुए यह अनुभव करता है कि मैं ही वह शुद्ध, ज्योतिर्मय, निर्लेप ब्रह्म हूँ—शरीर, मन, बुद्धि, अहंकार सब मुझ पर आरोपित हैं, किन्तु मैं उनसे परे हूँ।

इस ज्ञान के द्वारा साधक का अहंकार लय को प्राप्त होता है। पुण्य-पाप, सुख-दुःख, जीवन-मरण—ये सब केवल उपाधियों में हैं, आत्मा में नहीं। जब साधक “अहं ब्रह्मास्मि” का प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव कर लेता है, तब उसके लिए समस्त जगत केवल ब्रह्मस्वरूप ही दिखता है, और यही मोक्ष है।

That all-pervading Brahman is pure, self-luminous, formless, flawless, without sinews, untouched by virtue or vice; the all-seeing, all-knowing, supreme, self-existent Lord who has, from eternity, ordered all things as they are.

Śaṅkara explains that Brahman pervades all without limitation, has no body, is beyond change, and remains untouched by karma. “Pure” and “untouched by sin” mean free from all dualities of merit and demerit, bondage and liberation. Its omniscience is natural, not acquired, and it transcends all while being the cause of all.

In Advaita, this is the Self—satyam jñānam anantam—ever free, formless, and stainless. Meditation on this truth dissolves the ego’s false identity. One realizes: “I am not body or mind; I am the pure, infinite, stainless Brahman—eternal, self-existent, and one without a second.”
