@elsathora I grew up going to the Lemon Drop! That used to be a very busy area of town with a large General Motors factory nearby. The industry is gone now. Still the best burger and fries!
@lippyent 10 for school nights, 12 for weekends. I set an alarm on my phone for curfew. My kids have to wake me up when they get home before that alarm goes off.
I just found out who the *other* Carter family is and they basically stole black country artists music but why they look EXACTLY like Remmick and them from sinners I wanna show yall but they look so scary
@dieworkwear Yes. What was once average people posting on forums to share free info and personal stories was replaced by monetization through SEO. Anything-goes became “content” with sleek photos, keywords, and paid ads.
@cwebbonline@Target There are a lot of entities having to rebrand what DEI looks like publicly while continuing the work internally, due to govt targeting. It doesn’t mean the initiatives are gone, but they’ll be nested under other names and unfortunately not promoted the same way.
@txsalth2o It could have been worded more politely, but the point of a shower is to get useful things. At my baby shower I got eight blankets and an outdoor winter onesie-coat that didn’t work with car seats. I appreciated the sentiment but really needed bottles.
@isaiah_bb When my son was 3 we took him to food therapy at an OT. Their techniques helped him get to a place where he was at least willing to try a bite of new things, and they helped me know how to guide him. He grew into an adventurous eater over the years and I’m glad we intervened.
Can we talk about how the same journalist who spent years discrediting Harry and Meghan just showed up in a Camilla documentary confirming everything Harry said about her and his father? What's going on? When will this hypocrisy & lies be called out? Seriously, UK, wake up!
@mcmansionhell The shortcomings of education are affecting kids who are not exposed to literature and the wider world at home, and that is the failing of today’s systems. Based on your feed, I think your kids will be fine.
@zillowgonewild Those are picture rails. I believe they were used so decorative changes could be made from the rail rather than making holes all over the plaster walls. Very classy.
@clhubes I had the hardest time with sudden switches. Like a nice outing where everyone is great and then the car ride home falls apart. These moments caught me off-guard and were the hardest to parent through my own coping.
@realEstateTrent My 17yo is tired. End of junior year, finals, AP exams, band concerts, lifts before school twice a week, works after school and wkends, swims 5-8k meters at swim practice 6 days/wk. These are 14-17 hr days. Being 17 doesn’t mean they’re exempt from physical and mental exhaustion.
