@russlichti Mets fans love bringing up what players accomplished at the same age, so let’s play that game. Schlittler is 25 and already putting together a Cy Young-caliber season. deGrom wasn’t even in the majors at 25. Comparing Cam to prime deGrom makes what he’s doing even more impressive
@foleyd7@MaxMannis Yeah the R/L pitcher changes is exactly why you spread out your lineup and don’t stack up 5 straight guys who cant hit lefties. Pretty simple concepts here, I don’t think it’s overthinking. (Not to say the Yankees don’t often overthink/ outsmart themselves in plenty other areas)
@foleyd7@MaxMannis I think you need to separate Belli and Judge. They are our 2 best hitters vs LHP. Too easy for opposing managers to bring in a lefty after judge to face Rice-Garcia-Jones-Jazz-Etc
@RobTheYankee Personally I’d go Judge in RF and DH Ruth. Babe was a good right fielder, but he was never known as one of the game’s all-time defensive outfielders. Judge’s defensive reputation is stronger relative to his era than Ruth’s was relative to his.
