Hi, I’m Sienna 👋🏽
Kitasoo Xai’xais artist from Klemtu, BC. I paint, draw, take way too many photos of the coast, and occasionally wonder why I chose a career where paint costs this much. 😂
Trying to make a living doing what I love. 🎨🌊
@RanRinBC The Patron Participation Entertainment endorsement applies to food-primary restaurants that want patron dancing. Liquor-primary bars/nightclubs are governed by different rules. If I go out for dinner I personally don’t want to see a nightclub pop up.
@hardyrenos Why should the US dictate our language laws and tell us who we can trade with? Especially when he begs for a deal with China and tells us we can’t.
Fuck him.
@JimMcMurtry01 An ugly garbage problem is a real issue. Turning it into ‘Indigenous tradition’ is just racism. Waste-management infrastructure varies by community, and dumping garbage isn’t some inherent First Nations practice.
@BerryCad62411@ButlersRanger@CHEK_News Europeans won the territory” isn’t history, it’s conquest cosplay. Indigenous peoples didn’t disappear because Europeans arrived—and Canadian law recognizes that. Try reading past the first paragraph.
@BerryCad62411@ButlersRanger@CHEK_News “Stone Age primitives” yet you’re using technology invented long after your ancestors too. Civilization isn’t a racial inheritance, champ. And Indigenous peoples survived here for thousands of years without your plumbing lecture. 😉
@BerryCad62411@ButlersRanger@CHEK_News Our medicine was made for us and our medical needs. The filthy settlers brought unknown diseases. On a side note the white man took what we thought them and created medicines many have used unknowing that Indigenous people were part of it.
@BerryCad62411@CHEK_News The whole point is that Indigenous title and reserve interests were deliberately constrained by the Crown. If you want to criticize the federal government, fine—but don’t pretend that limitation proves First Nations don’t have legitimate land rights.
@parodycab@CHEK_News There were no humans here in Canada when my ancestors arrived. Prior to us there were prehistoric humans that had died off or moved on, but none existed prior to my ancestors arriving.
@parodycab@CHEK_News Being Indigenous doesn’t make me “Mongolian.” 😭 We share extremely ancient Northeast Asian ancestry through Beringia, not a recent connection to modern Mongolia. That’s like saying distant cousins from 20,000 years ago means we’re the same people. Be serious.
@BerryCad62411@CHEK_News BC is largely land (about 95%) was never ceded. Court battles are what we won to get our land back. Had the province lived up to its obligations we wouldn’t have had to go to court.
