6.0 opens a lot of new possibilities for @ergo_platform

Probably the most anticipated is the implementation of matrix, a new design using fractal pruning, which leads to storing full blocks.

We have a more complex structure with input and ordering blocks designed to use intelligent pruning to offset bloat while maintaining clear assumptions.

This new pathway to form blocks offers significant benefits both short and long term.

This novel blockchain
architecture separates transaction processing from block ordering to achieve faster transaction confirmations and improved network throughput.

The system introduces two types of blocks:

Input Blocks for fast transaction processing

Ordering Blocks for final consensus, maintaining backward compatibility through a soft-fork approach.

This architecture enables confirmation time to be in seconds range, reduces network bandwidth usage for blocks propagation, and improves scalability without compromising security or decentralization.

Sacrificing UTXO set management long term for speed is suicidal for a p2p networks.

Matrix is a pretty elegant solution so balance the two.

The Runes Extension, opening Runes to every supported token was not really within the scope of the grant, but wanted to make the outcome as useful as possible for the larger community.
