Happy Diwali and Bandi Chhorh Divas!
We celebrated yesterday by riding up Mt. Diablo in Danville, CA, a leg-lighting 4,000 foot climb over 15 miles to the peak. We were joined by new members who set personal records for climbing. We were honored to witness their achievements!
When the Mughal emperor released Guru Hargobind, the Guru secured the release of 52 other kings who were also imprisoned.
By the 18th century, Diwali became one of the dates for assembly for the Sikh community. It has been a prominent date on the Sikh calendar to this day.
Our second annual Diwali on Mt. Diablo Ride is this Saturday, October 22! Get ready to light up your legs as we climb 4K feet over 15 miles before we enjoy the feeling of liberation as we descend down the mountain.

The need is great and the time is short, so please support me TODAY: https://t.co/rTdk2ng4YE
Thanks to all who joined our 2nd annual Miri Piri Ride over the weekend in the Bay Area! It was a beautiful day cycling around the South Bay, taking in great views on both paved and gravel routes. We also were excited to welcome new cyclists to the Club!
He embodied this by wearing two swords, and thus laid the foundation of the concept of Sikh sovereignty that we still carry today. We always remember that worldly power must go hand in hand with spiritual power. Our spirituality must translate into action.
