The amazing @sevacycling
is riding for Riaan! This time from Seattle to Vancouver. Winty's goal is to raise $10K for
@RiaanResearch. We would be so grateful if you helped him get there by donating at https://t.co/yeGVzF6t9M.

I'm raising $5K to commemorate my 5th time cycling 100 miles around Lake Tahoe to raise funds for LLS and patients with blood cancers. Support me here! https://t.co/m871f4eacE
The weather forecast tomorrow is calling for a high chance of rain and for 10-20 mph southerly winds.
As such, unfortunately we are canceling tomorrow's Ride to the Yuba City Nagar Kirtan.
We need the rain so won't complain! https://t.co/wb0P7e3ZQe
Weather forecasts for this Saturday's Ride to the Yuba City Nagar Kirtan are calling for showers during the day.
We'll make the call on Friday on whether to ride depending on the weather forecast.
Stay tuned!
It's time! Join us Sat. 11/5 as we ride to the largest Sikh festival in the US: the Yuba City Nagar Kirtan!
We'll ride 100 miles round trip from Gurdwara Sahib Sacramento to the festivities at Gurdwara Sahib Yuba City. Visit our website for more info:

I'm finally almost over COVID. I hopefully can end my isolating soon.
I spent a ridiculous amount of time online shopping just so I could maintain contact with the outside world. I'm dreading opening all my packages of superfluous junk that I purchased.
I'm now on week 2 of testing positive for COVID. Symptoms are still mild but this might be the longest stretch I've gone without riding my bike in a long time.
My sanity is starting to crack under isolation and I'm making questionable cycling accessory purchases.
I've always been on the more cautious side of personal COVID safety measures, but after 2.5 years it finally got me.
Of course, I get it just as the US declares the pandemic is over.
It turned out my cold/flu situation is indeed COVID. My symptoms have been mild and it's largely felt like a typical cold.
I'm mostly just annoyed about the unexpected disruption to my @trainerroad plan and what this means for rides I'd planned over the next six weeks.
I didn't bring a lot of souvenirs back from Vancouver, other than a box of chocolate barfi from Himalaya Restaurant on Main St. (lived on these growing up) and evidently a cold/flu situation.

Apparently, Canada hasn't caught on to the cold brew coffee craze as has the US, which is unfortunate. But, they also haven't caught on to the pumpkin spice everything craze/crazy, which speaks to their good taste. Great trade off.
Thank you all who supported this ride and the Riaan Research Initiative!

And, here's the ride video of my #ride4Riaan at the @rbcgranfondo!
We raised almost $6,500 for the @RiaanResearch Initiative and their hunt for a cure for Cockayne Syndrome.

I crossed the finish line with a moving time of 6 hours and 7 minutes, climbing 6.7K feet.
Most exciting is we raised almost $6.5K for the Riaan Research Initiative! I received a few donations during and after the ride that helped us to surpass our goal of $5K. Just amazing.
