Thomas Jefferson explained thoroughly why he owned slaves still despite being anti slavery. The consistent position he held throughout his entire life was that blacks were so different from whites as a race that we couldn’t share a government without being horrifically dysfunctional, that governments ought to be limited to just one distinct people, and that their inclusion as equal citizens would cause incredible problems and dysfunctions.

This is why his position on Abolition was Emancipation AND Deportation, which he held consistently till the day he died as the correct solution to the issue at hand. Applied for a warehouse job. Three rounds of interviews, a skills assessment, a background check, a drug test.

Six weeks. Then a form email.

I'm 34. No record. No gaps. Two prior warehouse jobs on the resume.

Meanwhile every headline says employers are "desperate for workers" and can't find anyone.

So which is it.

Because from where I'm standing, the jobs that are supposedly begging to be filled are somehow still unfilled after I applied, interviewed three times, and got ghosted.

Either the labor shortage is fake, or the hiring process itself is the thing that's broken.

🚨 THIS IS NO LONGER JUST ABOUT STAFFING COMPANIES.

For years, much of the criticism surrounding H-1B and foreign-worker programs has focused on outsourcing and staffing firms.

Now the head of DOJ’s Civil Rights Division is pointing somewhere much bigger:

America’s largest public tech companies.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon says discrimination against American workers involving foreign-worker programs isn’t isolated.

She says it “permeates American industry & academia.”

And then she said this:

“The biggest violators are our biggest public tech companies.”

This comes as DOJ officials are publicly raising concerns involving:

H-1B
Cap-exempt H-1B
PERM
OPT
J-1

And Dhillon says DOJ, DOL and EEOC are “all on the case.”

That’s a major shift in this conversation.

This isn’t just about whether a staffing company somewhere abused H-1B.

It’s about whether some of America’s largest and most sophisticated employers have built hiring systems that disadvantage American workers.

Dhillon hasn’t named the companies, and these are allegations, not findings of wrongdoing.

But now there’s one enormous question:
