Hi everyone,
The Cook County Treasurer’s Office published my report on assessment appeals this morning!
There are some great articles about it, but if you have the time, I recommend reading the report and browsing the data dashboard!
Read it here:

@Silber_Lining created this fabulous interactive data page detailing the impact of property tax assessment appeals on property tax bills across Cook County.

Some friends noticed that they can’t download U.S. Census TIGER/Line spatial files this morning.
Hopefully this is temporary. In the meantime, I suggest using @nhgis by IPUMS to source census files. They have both the data and the spatial files you would probably need.
I updated my Chicago School Board Election map dashboard this morning! See the precinct-level voting breakdown for each district here:

@FarNWSider773 I’d have to do a bit of work to bring together the suburban Cook data with the Chicago Board of Elections data, which is doable, but at the moment I don’t think the precinct-level data for the suburbs has been published
I got bored tonight and made an interactive Chicago election results dashboard to view precinct-level data on the school board elections, turnout, and the presidential race! Updated at ~7pm
