Athlete role model Haralds Silovs of Latvia shares some of his memories from @gangwon2024

"It gives you a taste of what it’s like to compete at the Olympic Games," he said 👀

Didn't expect to see this happen. Russia loves Olympic medals, letting them be part of the biggest sporting event while they are killing Ukranians is not right. If this just slides through the news cycle you can be sure IOC will make the same choice

In 1989 people of #Latvia #Estonia #Lithuania formed human chain demanding freedom from the Soviet occupation. Together we regained our independence, together we are guarding it and helping Ukraine #baltijasceļš34 #baltikett34 #Baltijoskelias34

Agates talants ir apbrīnojams! Ar drosmīgu skrējienu Agate kvalificējas 5000m finālam Pasaules čempionātā Budapeštā. 🇱🇻

Turēsim īkšķus sestdienas finālā, un nespējam vien sagaidīt, ko Agate rādīs Rīgā 1. oktobrī! 💪🏼

Precīzi! 💯 @edgarsrinkevics burtiski kā naglai uz galvas par Latvijas tēlu - labāk nepateiktu!

Distance running dominance from Agate Caune!

PSA.
When talking about the Baltic countries and Ukraine(and others), some still use the term "post soviet nations". We were nations before soviet occupation and we will be nations also tomorrow.
Will be much appreciated if everyone would remember this.

Paldies Saeimai par uzticību, ievēlot mani augstajā Valsts prezidenta amatā, paldies atbalstītājiem un kritiķiem. Es darīšu visu, lai jūs nepieviltu! Dievs, svētī Latviju!

What a beast! 👏🥔🇱🇻

My first ever #Giro is done. And boy will it be one to remember. Not only have I finally ticked off all three GTs, but this one was most definitely my most successful one and I even made it on the big podium in Rome!

Riga is sheer madness after the bronze medal. The heroes are received by some 50.000 or more fans at the Freedom Monument. The airline flew the team for free from Tampere, the plane was painted in 🇱🇻, music bands play for free, the government announced official day off @lhf_lv
