@FAFSA throughout all of my four years at college I barely gotten any financial aid to cover the expenses of school due to my parents income. I go to a school that is one of the lowest cost four year schools in my state. I wish I had gotten more support.

Some grad schools require you to have taken biology courses with a lab section, but barely any of our biology courses have a lab period separate from the class. It might be beneficial to have more classes to incorporate a separate lab period. #KSCBio

I feel like adding more labs to the early bio courses would be really beneficial! As bio students many of us have gone through weekly labs in both chemistry and physics but until upper level bio courses I only recall having one or two labs #KSCBio

There are SO many free online resources that biology students can utilize instead of being forced to purchase an expensive textbook. It incredible how useful the internet has become for educating students #kscbio #openped

On a more positive note, I do think it’s awesome that the biology department has pretty much eliminated the use of textbooks. This has been such a relief for bio students. Many students can’t afford the expensive textbook materials that schools require for their classes #KSCbio

I wish that some bio classes weren’t so rigid. I love that open ped courses allow you to explore areas of biology that interest you. Students may be more inclined to learn if they are learning about things that interest them! #KSCbio
