Discussed India’s remarkable energy journey under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji from diversifying our energy basket and securing uninterrupted supplies to ensuring affordable and sustainable energy for our citizens amid global geopolitical uncertainties.

As the world’s 3rd largest energy consumer, 3rd largest crude oil importer and 4th largest refiner, India is emerging as a key force shaping the global energy landscape, with nearly 25% of global energy demand growth expected to come from India over the next two decades.

Held an engaging and insightful interaction with a delegation of nearly 70 outstanding, confident and knowledgeable young professionals and researchers from diverse disciplines as part of the Rising Leaders Programme, organised by ILead Global Foundation @ileadglobe and India Office of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung @kas_india.

India is scripting an unprecedented energy security story under the visionary leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji. Today, India’s energy diplomacy resonates across the world as we secure uninterrupted supplies, diversify our energy basket and ensure access to affordable and sustainable energy for our citizens, despite the ongoing geopolitical crises affecting major global energy-producing regions.
Even as several parts of the world grappled with an energy shock and surging fuel prices, India stood out for maintaining stable domestic fuel prices, and shielding its citizens from the full impact of global volatility.

We also discussed how India is the world’s 3rd largest energy consumer, 3rd largest crude oil importer and 4th largest refiner, consuming around 5 million barrels of oil per day. India is also expected to account for nearly 25% of global energy demand growth over the next two decades.

India has shrugged off the lethargy of the ‘lost decade’ and has scripted an unprecedented growth story under the visionary leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji. Today we see the India Growth Story resonate across the world as we become the world’s fourth largest economy.

Interacted with a delegation of 26 outstanding and knowledgeable individuals from diverse disciplines as a part of Rising Leaders Programme being organised by @ileadglobe and the India Office of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung @kas_india. Over a period of ten months, they have undergone intensive training in Delhi and Jaipur. The curriculum includes modules on value-based leadership, stress management, AI efficiency and data analytics, and an in-depth understanding of India’s political system.
The current New Delhi module will focus on leadership development, democratic values, data literacy, and public service.
We also discussed how India was able to lead global efforts in times of crises such as outbreak of the pandemic, natural calamities or the geopolitical difficulties in several countries. This was reflected well in the way we successfully navigated the trilemma of energy availability, affordability and sustainability.
