We procured 1022 CWD-resistant coffee plantlets (KR1-KR10) for our farm in Kamwenge. We're setting up a mother garden with 522 plantlets & empowering 20 smallscale farmers with 500 plantlets, plus trainings & extension services.

We harvested 5 tonnes of potatoes at Der Wilkenshoff farm today. 40-60 tonnes are expected by end of harvest season. One thing the German farms are good at is doing whatever they choose to do with seriousness.

Smallholder farmers can unlock the potential of their idle spaces to enhance food security, improve nutrition and raise incomes through sale of surplus crops.
I've always challenged rural farmers to utilize small spaces to grow food instead of leaving it idle to go & "look for money" but I realised they never do what you say unless they see you do it. Just harvested fresh bananas from my mini plantation at home!
