@RoyPrice They murder what few good shows they have, like The Gentlemen, with the stupid binge models. You already stupidly taking years between seasons and you drop it all at once so it has no time to gain traction...
Netflix’s movie program was never good, but the real problem was their sharp decline in original TV — from having 1-2 big new hits per year to 0, for years.
Not sure why people are focused on movies as a cure all. And this has all been apparent for years now.
Most of the people who promoted mismanagement in media over the past 8 years are now out of power and that regime is over. If you’re a mid-level apparatchik who was aligned with that cause, can you pivot your brand from super political to super entertaining? We will see.
Someone open sourced a way to run Android apps on a Mac without an emulator.
It's called Mac.apk.
Drag an APK onto it and it becomes a real Mac app. Own window, Dock icon, light and dark mode, native speed on Apple Silicon.
No emulator. No virtual machine. No Linux kernel underneath.
Here's what's packed inside:
→ A full reimplementation of the Android app framework on macOS
→ Native arm64 code runs directly on the M series CPU
→ An ARM32 recompiler for older apps
→ Graphics through Metal via ANGLE and MoltenVK
→ Supports .apk, .apkm, .xapk and .apks
→ Serves no ads, blocks in-app purchases
Here's the wildest part:
Microsoft built this into Windows, then killed it in 2025. Apple never tried. Every other option boots a full phone OS inside a VM.
This one treats the APK like it was compiled for macOS. 65 apps tested, 51 fully working. Minecraft, Among Us, Candy Crush, Telegram and Signal all run. The whole thing is 280 MB.
Still alpha. Signed and notarized by Apple.
100% Open Source. AGPL 3.0 License.
Built by Kaleb Simpson (kksimp on GitHub).
Ex-OpenAI science head @kevinweil on his $215M plan to build robotic labs that run 24/7 and bring drug research back from China:
"We’re building robotic labs that do science at scale, and we’re doing it here in America. Doing science at scale is the way we generate the training data the models desperately need."
"We need to reshore scientific capabilities from China so that we don’t lose our pharma industry the way that we lost solar and drones and manufacturing."
"We’re not developing drugs on our own, we are building the infrastructure so that everybody who does develop drugs can go faster."

Went to a hospital today and it’s like stepping into Jabba’s Palace.
You’re treated like there is a one-size-fits-all answer to your problem. The non-medical staff barely know what they’re doing. All the information is presented for the least common denominator of people.
Was also told that the first availability for an actual orthopedic doctor, at all locations in my area, isn’t until January.
Our system is now Europe and Canada. Why won’t our political parties even attempt to fix this?
SK hynix (official statement): “Our overseas subsidiary, Solidigm, has been exploring various financing options to expand its production capacity and strengthen its competitiveness. However, after taking capital market conditions and other factors into consideration, it has decided to discontinue its evaluation of pre-IPO financing and an initial public offering (IPO).”
It’s my experience that it’s not fruitful to (overly) speculate.
Dr Oz did the same thing to throw that election. He did these commercials in the days immediately before mail in voting began that were incredibly “out of touch”
For example the avocado inflation one.
Another commercial that would have been a great commercial for his opponent - it was about healthcare for all and his ad mocked it.
And so on.
