The Finnish Administrative Court bans assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by fundraising.

First, there was the unclear fundraising law, whose interpretation was outsourced to the Police Board. The police made an interpretation that does not support Ukraine's right to defend itself against Russia, nor even the right to train for national defense due to Russia's illegal invasion. In December, the Helsinki Administrative Court agreed: in Finland, private individuals are not allowed to fundraise to support Ukraine's legitimate defense against its enemy.

These people in the pictures, who have been forced to defend their country, cannot receive support because, according to Finland's current fundraising law, the Police Board, and the Administrative Court, supporting defense is not considered a public benefit activity. Would the same apply to us if Russia were to invade Finland – fundraising for the frontline troops would not be considered a “public benefit”?

This is our fight, too, which is why we ask for:
👉🏻 Lifting the ban on supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the third sector
👉🏻 The right to equip Ukraine's defenders

We are not:
👉��� Acquiring weapons or ammunition
👉🏻 Demanding support for any entity other than Ukraine
