Unverified research regarding algoblow culprit:

“In a conversation with [redacted], we noticed that the standard rekey transaction is usually performed using a transaction of type Payment + Rekey.

However, the attacker is using Asset Transfer + Rekey transactions.

Seven days ago, I scanned the blockchain and found the first account that used this pattern:

This account rekeyed to:

While tracing the wallet creation path, we found something interesting.

Two accounts appear to have been created with a similar naming pattern, both containing the name KADIR:

Few things from my perspective - atm, xgov is the only means of getting any funds for the eco, so even if it feels weird, you should not be afraid/discouraged to apply. After all, the total yearly budget is negligible in conparison to other "support" spends by AF.

Secondly, i(and quite a few xgov council members) agree that oss as requirement is nice to have, but not the main/core value - especially as you pointed out, in the age of llms. But it is a decent failsafe, so atleast something remains behind, in case projects shut down- where alternative is, 0 remains.

The biggest advantage of xgov process rn is the mandatory retroactive ask, so everyone can gauge the value delivered and traction numbers(which is unrealistic with proactive funding, which is even more risky).

Personally in the future i would like to see oss requirement dropped(or be manadtory for large asks), but retroactive aspect remaining.

@AlgoVince @twirtle2 I had my info wrong it seems 😅(i just knew its not using unity, as unity exports into webgl, while i dont remember seeing webgl loader when playing AE games, so its hrml5/canvas export. Different stack atgument remains.
