We are saddened by the passing of Graeme Baird, a visionary programmer who, alongside Ian Oliver and Andy Onions, co-founded Realtime Games Software. While the 16-bit era is often credited for the 3D revolution, it was Graeme, working with Ian, who brought Starglider to the 8-bit generation. (1/4)
@anne_clarke It turns out that this bus lane cost over £1m (the council won't give full figures and lied to me in a FoI response) and the council won't or can't say what the benefit of it is.
@anne_clarke Why have you failed to listen to the people of Barnet who want you to reverse your decsion to impose an unwanted, dangerous and economically damaging bus lane on Regents Park Road? The changes you have suggested are vastly inadequate.
@anne_clarke The suspension of parking spaces while the bus lane is active would have a catastrophic effect on the local shops and be a nightmare for residents in the nearby streets which will be forced to take the displaced cars.
@BryanDaveyLdn@GazTheJourno And then look at the tax drivers pay. Fuel duty, vat on fuel duty, ULEZ, congestion charges, car tax, and you will see just how much the car driver is subsidising stupid bus lanes, clockwork cyclists and workshy train drivers.
Look at the YouTubers roundups of 2024 the only innovative phone is the triple-fold Huawei.
I'll be looking at the death of mobile innovation in an IET lunchtime lecture at the end of the month. It's free to attend and you don't have to be an IET member.https://t.co/PNzr96mVLo
