@banks_chef @houghtonc79 You have to do a VAT return anyway, the cost of doing that should be minimal and is the same regardless of the number submitted. You collect VAT from customers on behalf of HMRC and get to keep it in your bank account for between 1 mth 1wk and 4 mth 1wk before handing over.

@banks_chef @houghtonc79 That food costs are zero rated but incur 20% once they are part of a restaurant offering is irrelevant. ALL VAT costs on all products/services are ultimately only borne by the final customer. A better point is reducing VAT on your sales may stimulate turnover and employment.

I would of waited another few yards but it wasn’t worth reporting, it suggests the cyclist probably goes around baiting motorists for clicks and reports.

@Bikery1966 @SaferRoadsYorks This was the spot, personally I would of waited until the next bend but as you can see he would have had a view to see no cars were coming along that next stretch, the very low speed would of been a factor in his decision as well. You need to watch out for sheep on that road!
