@luthoreads Super good choices! ๐๐ป
Intrigued about These Violent Delights - have been meaning to read it for a while now, but heard pretty mixed opinions about the book, so I'm kind of procrastinating on that one.
@timewarpoets Good luck! Excited to see how many you're gonna go through ๐๐ป
Have just come back from holiday myself (finished only 2 books in over two weeks, with one being an audiobook), was on the move all the time with no time to read, basically ๐ซ
@timewarpoets A bit out of the blue, but where do you get your arcs from and how does the process go? ๐ค
Have been wanting to try it for ages, but have no idea where to start to get the better books, not just super random ones ๐ซฃ๐
@readingfromeden Uuuff... I was looking forward to this one. But after a lot of mixed reviews I'm not even sure if it's worth the time anymore ๐ฅฒ๐
@goodreads Amen. Everything that's based on words. Storytelling is magic, lies are magic warping reality, promises are magic too, shaping the person you are.
@bookbeduion Never implied it was. And if so, your communication style might have some flaws...
The point is for art and literature to unite and not discriminate. In my opinion. By coming up with such populistic claims that's exactly what you're doing.
@bookbeduion Where are getting that from even? I read load of female authors. As a matter of fact, the majority of the authors nowadays are female. It's hard to avoid it if you're reading contemporary literature.
@motsdemaelys I haven't actually read anything in 2026 yet that left a huge impression... sadly.
But these ones are on top. In Defence of Witches was super good.
@bustanutkeaton@ofthevolsci I'm patiently waiting for this obscenely materialistic trend to go way. I want my books affordable, as tiny as possible, so that I can fit them in my pockets and mark them, tear them, and bend the pages. Not those you buy for show and cannot touch, no smudges or scrapes allowed.
