A little late but have been busy celebrating 🥳
So excited to be staying at my #1 program @EmoryMedicine for Internal Medicine! I'm so thankful for the friends and mentors who helped me get here and I can't wait to keep learning at this amazing place. #MatchDay2026#Match26

This is Kate Rosenblatt, a professor of Religion and Jewish Studies at #Emory. She says it’s “unconscionable” that the university called police on students.
Thinking about my #Emory Class of 2014 Commencement keynote from the late Hon. Congressman John Lewis, in which he told our melting crowd in that Georgia sun to go out and be bold, find beloved community, get in the damn way and most of all: get in real good trouble.
Match Day was filled with good news and well-wishes. I'll be doing my med-peds training at Prisma in Greenville, SC. So excited for the next step in my journey!

This is my dear friend, Nakita.
Nakita and I were medical school classmates and both interns in New York City. Nakita tragically took her own life on May 26.
She is such a beautiful soul. She was so fun to be around. She was intelligent, charismatic, and confident. (1/x)
Excited to have graduated from Emory University School of Medicine! If you feel gracious, any monetary assistance can help me as I prepare to move for residency🙏🏾

Words can’t even express how it feels to walk into @EmoryMedicine on an ordinary day and pause for fellowship with these M1 students. I love knowing that no one has to be the lonely only anymore. Seeing your reflection in more than just your bathroom mirror matters.
Yeah. 🥹
the washington post has an incredible interactive story that shows just how destructive a bullet from an AR-15 is to the body — using animated recreations of the wounds that killed 6-year-old Noah Pozner and 15-year-old Peter Wang — and the end of the page just broke my heart
Honored to have matched at @WashUNeurosurg as the first African American female to train here! Can’t wait for the next 7 years surrounded by mentors, residents, and co-interns that I love 🥰
Shout out to the all the first gens, the BIPOC, the immigrants, queer folx, disable folx, and anyone who’s been or felt like the underdog that had to work even harder to get here. Liking and retweeting your #Match2023 posts is bringing me so much joy!
Check out the poster of superstar graduate student Kayleigh Voos @kayleighvoos_ today at 12:15PM! She is beautifully connecting molecular and physiological aspects of metabolic syndrome risk factor ankyrin-B in skeletal muscle bioenergetics #CellBio2022@ASCBiology@CAMBUpenn
It was an honor to be recognized by the Association of Black Cardiologists this weekend as a recipient of the 2022 Dr. Richard A Williams Scholarship. Thank you to @ABCardio1 for a wonderful evening of celebration!
Excited to announce that the Lorenzo Lab is moving to UPenn @PennMedicine in a few days to join the Cell and Developmental Biology department @PennCDB! Looking forward to forging collaborations with our new colleagues and continuing our established ones with our friends at UNC.
After reviewing a bunch of pre-med personal statements lately, I figured I'd make a thread for all the pre-meds out there still working on theirs. PS Dos and Don'ts: A THREAD!🧵
