Beyond excited to announce my first-ever first-author paper published in Chemical Science! Deeply grateful to my supervisor, @Hari_Chakrapani , for his invaluable guidance, and to my wonderful labmates. Here’s to new beginnings! @IISERPune@ChemicalScience#MyFirstChemSci
#InfosysPrize2024 in Life Sciences is awarded to Prof. Siddhesh Kamat, @KamatLab_IISER, of @IISERPune for his discoveries concerning bioactive lipids and their receptors, and their metabolic and signaling pathways. His research using advanced methods to understand the function of lipids, a key component of cells, has important implications for understanding the role of these molecules in a range of cellular functions and human diseases.
Participants of the Indo-German Meeting #ECBS-2024 at Le Meridien Amritsar, coinciding with 50 years India and Germany S&T cooperation.@INDOGSTC@GermanyinIndia Excited to share that I’m participating this year! Looking forward to connecting with experts, learning new ideas.
Participants of the Indo-German Meeting #ECBS-2024 at Le Meridien Amritsar, coinciding with 50 years India and Germany S&T cooperation. Anticipating complex multidisciplinary science, involved interactions and useful collaborations. @INDOGSTC@GermanyinIndia
We're looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate with expertise in organic synthesis and mechanisms, and a demonstrated research track record. Those interested may please check the link: https://t.co/qjwCuZ5B1a
Happy to share a new paper (@BiochemistryACS) from the lab @IISERPune assigning PLC-type activity with specificity towards phosphatidylinositol lipids to an uncharacterised lipase CG17192 in flies during infection. Wonderful work led by @Kundan703. https://t.co/aO8cnbTr9E
As killing latent HIV-1 is almost impossible hence our strategy may enable us to kill and clear HIV-1 viruses (known as the Shock and Kill strategy). Many thanks to my PhD supervisor @Hari_Chakrapani, and collaborators (Amit Singh lab & @AdhesionLab ). https://t.co/r4bX5o8ZpG
Extremely pleased to share my publication in Angewandte Chemie.
Started this project just before the COVID-19 viral pandemic. Only had NMR and some preliminary data. Never thought that this could lead to interrogation of HIV-1, another deadly virus.
@AdhesionLab @suman_chembio @angew_chem@IISERPune@ChemistryIISERP Using this tool, we studied the effect of mitochondrial H2S on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) and mitochondrial H2S and persulfide profoundly affected the HIV-1 life cycle and may provide clues such to new drug design @Mito_News
Check out the latest probe from our lab: the cell’s biosynthetic machinery and localization is used to selectively generate H2S within mitochondria. Collaboration with Amit Singh and @AdhesionLab @suman_chembio @angew_chem

Delighted to share this paper in Redox Biology from Amit Singh Lab and our lab. How Mycobacterium tuberculosis (causative agent of TB) deals with the endogenous redox species peroxynitrite is studied. https://t.co/0UOiOoZNxw @iiscbangalore@IISERPune@DBTIndia@ChemistryIISERP
Had an incredible week at the GRC in Barcelona, Spain! It was such a privilege to present poster preview talk and engage with fellow researchers in my field. Sharing my research and exchanging ideas was a valuable experience. Thiol-Based Redox Regulation and Signaling @GordonConf
Thanks to all the participants of the Thiol GRS, that slowly turns to the persulfide GRS-SH.
Congratulations to the winners of the talk: @juliamalopueyo, poster: @ClaudiaLennicke, @TaylorCovingt10, Thomas Foy; and question prizes @tzu_keng.
