A lot of personal experiences and “heart work” have gone into this work and I’m so excited to share my published dissertation document with the world!!
Special thank you to Dr. Kirsten Hextrum and @DrHaslerig for being the best mentors and advisors a doc student could ever have!
Hi all!
It’s that time of the year… I’m looking for guest speakers for my “Diversity in Sport Organizations” graduate course this fall. If you would be interested to engage with my students, anytime between 4-6:30pm ET on Wednesdays, please reach out 😊
Hi Academic Friends!!!
I'm teaching a grad course “Diversity in Sport Organizations” this upcoming Fall. Would anyone who has taught or taken this class be open to sharing their syllabi with me? Any leads will be much appreciated 😊

Check out my new book, "Body Factory," published by Temple University Press!
"Body Factory" examines the healthcare system in an NCAA DI athletic training room, where the treatment and care of college athletes are shaped by a multitude of organizational pressures.
International athletes, please be VERY careful with your NIL. Do not assume you're not big enough, or the deal isn't big enough, for anyone to notice. If your entry is denied, there is NO way to appeal the decision. And I don't even want to talk about the worst-case scenario.
I was recently awarded a grant @universityofky to study international recruiting agencies that guide athletes from around the world to get recruited/connected with US colleges/coaches. If you are a recruiter, own an agency and/or know of anyone that does, please reach out to me!
Looking for folks interested to guest lecture about WADA, sport in Europe, Australia, NewZealand, and the Caribbean.
If anyone would like to engage with my global sport class @universityofky please reach out!!

Hi!
Looking for guest speakers for my global sport class this spring. If anyone is interested to speak about topics like the Olympics, Paralympics, sports in Asia, Africa, international sport federations etc. please reach out 😊
Class is on Tues and Thurs from 12:30-1:45 ET!
Hey @Google - sport is not inherently male.
UCLA women's basketball plays tomorrow at the same location - 6 days before this game. Your default shouldn't be this.
If you or someone you know was a college or professional athlete and suffered a career-ending injury, please consider sharing your experience as a participant in my dissertation research!
Know someone who fits the criteria? Interested? DM me or email me at [email protected]
A prospective PhD student should look for a kind and understanding mentor, not necessarily the most brilliant one or someone working at a prestigious institution. A kind mentor will focus on your progress and work to uplift you.
Hi Academic Friends!!! I'm teaching an international sport management/ global sport course this upcoming Spring. Would anyone who has taught or taken this class be open to sharing their syllabi with me? Thank you 😊

Had so much fun chatting with @SimranKaurSeth1's 301 sport class at the University of Kentucky. Pleasure to discuss rise of disability sport from media/management perspectives. H/t @umerhussain222 for helping us connect thru South East Asian Society for Sport Management (SEASSM).
This is an important paper. While so many praise NIL as inherently positive, few have acknowledged the fact that international campus athletic workers do not benefit because of outdated and exclusionary restrictions that deny rights to their likeness.
Excited to share my new publication with @KaitPericak and @FelliFabio
In this piece, we apply the theory of ethic capitalism to examine how ICAs are discriminated, regulated, and exploited by the US federal government as well as the NCAA.
