On Teachers’ Day, Bhagwant Mann’s police lathicharged teachers and professors in Bathinda protesting for DA, OPS, pay hike & regularisation. They showed black flags to the CM. Teachers want rights, not repression. Now they say: wherever the CM goes, protest will follow #NoAapinPunjab2027
Protesters carrying black flags also reached Bathinda and welcomed the Chief Minister upon his arrival. Professors and teachers broke through the barricades and moved forward.
Breaking: Witness the situation in Punjab Professors level serious allegations, reporting that women's clothes were torn and they were subjected to rough handling. Professors are recording a video from inside the Bathinda Sadar police station.
As the son of a teacher, Bhagwant Mann should understand the dignity teachers deserve. Yet on Teachers’ Day, teachers and professors in Bathinda demanding DA, OPS, pay hikes and regularisation were met with police lathis for showing black flags. Respect teachers, don’t repress them.

On #TeachersDay, professors who came to question CM @BhagwantMann about their jobs were arrested outside his event.
These are the 1158 Assistant Professors recruited transparently in 2021 after Punjab’s government colleges went without regular professors for three decades. AAP has still not completed their recruitment.
Is this @AamAadmiParty’s ‘Sikhya Kranti’-arresting professors who demand their jobs? #Justice_For_1158
