one of my fav aspects of VSC is the plugin ecosystem, e.g. Dev Containers, Rainbow CSV, Markdown All In One are awesome
I also use it as a general purpose text manipulator all the time, e.g. as an interface for grep, regex searching/formatting, and ctrl-p + >[cmd] for line level commands like sorting. plus makes a decent git gui
