The bloody Battle of Torr (ٽوڙ)is adorned on a wall of the tomb of Mir Allahyar Khan-I Talpur, located near Drigh Bala, Johi, Dadu District Sindh on the bank of the River Gaj. The battle was fought b/w Mian Yar Muhammad Kalhoro and the Mughal prince Muizuddin in 1700.

I see no political sense in attacking PPP on Sindh’s unity when its position is clear. As the government, it used the Sindh Assembly the province’s elected constitutional forum to firmly reject any move toward Sindh’s division.

We will question PPP wherever it fails and confront it if it ever backtracks. But this is bigger than PPP or any party. Sindh belongs to all of us, and everyone defending its unity strengthens the same collective position.

Don’t forget it all started from your innocent Punjab. It has a long history of exporting terrorism across provinces, starting with SSP, which was founded in Jhang in 1985. LeJ emerged from it in 1996. JeM was built in Bahawalpur, while LeT’s main infrastructure was based in Muridke. After bans and increasing pressure, cadres from these Punjab-based groups moved into the tribal areas and allied with what became the TTP in 2007. LeJ also extended its sectarian campaign into Quetta, targeting Hazaras. Southern Punjab’s madrasa networks served as a recruitment pool for years.

KP and the former FATA did not invent these organisations. They absorbed the military operations, the displacement, and some of the highest casualties first. And Balochistan has Punjabi puppets running the govt right now while your army has been financing death squads in different parts of Balochistan and has destroyed the province through state terrorism.

For decades, the consequences of militant policies were pushed onto KP, the tribal areas, and Balochistan, while Punjab’s political establishment enjoyed the luxury of selective outrage.

You can’t sit in peace while letting other provinces burn. Eventually, you have to get a taste of your own medicine; the consequences of what you started.
