The problem with social security is it puts everyone in the same boat as a socialist system. There’s no growth in your investments into it, so after 50 years of working u get a pittance every month of your investment. Many should have been allowed to reject SS & invest themselves

@BarbellFi That’s the problem, I may have the figures slightly wrong but when SS was first implemented there were 9 workers for each retiree. Today it’s like 2 to 1. It was implemented failing to consider such changes including people living a lot longer.
