A single income family that started, then quit, a 10-year quest for financial independence. Team roster: breadwinning mom, SAHD and three active kiddos.
@CapitulationINC@UrbanCourtyard@conorsen Golf, surprisingly, has turned into the family activity that I thought skiing would be. My kids surpassed my skiing ability years ago so they’re off skiing the rest of the mountain while I’m on greens. In golf, regardless of varying skill levels, the foursome stays together.
@UrbanCourtyard@conorsen Agree on both takes. I mean, I’m local and it’s still expensive. Only reason we’re able to do it is 2 of my 3 kids still get free passes. We prioritize it now while they’re still free so that they learn young and then can decide for themselves later if they want to pay to do it.
@mountainwesttax@mkoontz328 HG would be perfect for this! But the course is small so watch out for errant balls. Prolly not a lot of people playing during the week tho so might be perfect!
