What a fun filled day in 3rd grade! Shoutout to @edtechsavy for helping our students complete a coding activity comparing and ordering numbers using beebots! Students also created posters about essential questions and presented to first graders! @1stMeyer @MsWhitman5 & Mr. Lowrie
@MinettElem@AlexKetterer29@kittaym_edu@Miss_Kilarski Shoutout to @AlexKetterer29 for modeling an interactive read aloud for our students! It was so fun to see her excitement when teaching about characters and how they change throughout a story! I can’t wait to implement this strategy with the students next week! @MinettElem
Students loved exploring fraction models and sets this week! These hands-on learning experiences are so impactful for student engagement! @MinettElem@ci_elem
Students had a blast completing this @genially Winter Escape Room over multi-step word problems! These mathematicians did a great job representing each problem with models and equations! @MinettElem@ci_elem
Students were challenged to solve division word problems in different ways today! Great mathematicians show their thinking when solving problems! @MinettElem@ci_elem
Our entire school traveled around the world today! 🗺 🧳🌎 We visited the locations of our Houses - Mexico, Africa, Greece, North America, Japan, & India to learn about some of the different holidays, cultures, & traditions for each area. 🐂🐘🐺🐎🐳🦅 #theminettconnection
Thank you @edtechsavy for helping students code beebots as they reviewed their knowledge of multiplication arrays. Students were so engaged and loved learning about algorithms to tell their beebots where to go! @MinettElem@ci_elem#futurereadylearners
Students loved sharing aspects of their culture during our culture show and tell. Students shared artifacts and traditions from their cultures to begin our inquiry unit! @ci_elem@MinettElem@mooreka84@Allens_Archive
We rolled out the red carpet and lights to celebrate our students’ nonfiction writing! They have been working so hard the last few weeks on these amazing pieces! @MinettElem@ci_elem@Allens_Archive
Students loved using @Ozobot to code sequences relating to different forms of energy. Thank you @edtechsavy for your help with this engaging activity! @MinettElem
We began our inquiry unit over physical properties of matter! 3rd graders taught 1st & 2nd graders about essential questions & all students investigated frozen ice balloons stating what they wondered about the physical properties. Investigations are up next! @MinettElem
We spent the morning working on an addition and subtraction progression for problem solving. We are so excited to share this with our students! #fisdlearns@MinettElem@IC_K8Stafford @danifryIC
Students designed an interactive word wall for our physical properties of matter unit in science. Check out our digital word wall using @padlet to showcase student learning over the structure of government! @MinettElem#Minett3rd@JEFlemmer@mooreka84
