I found a very beautiful Bible verse.❤️
NAHUM 1 :9
There will come a time when that problem won’t bother you again, not because you forgot, but because God ended it once and for all.
DATING OR MARRIED TO AN INSECURE PARTNER
Dating or being married to an insecure partner can be really draining. It isn't always obvious at first. Insecurity often hides behind jealousy, control, or neediness. But over time, the weight of it will wear you down. Here are signs you might be dating or married to an insecure partner.
Signs and Traits
Constant Need for Reassurance
They ask "Do you still love me?" multiple times a day. They need validation about their appearance, their intelligence, their worth. No amount of reassurance is ever enough.
Jealousy and Suspicion
They get jealous of your friends, your coworkers, even your family. They check your phone, question your whereabouts, and accuse you of flirting when you are just being polite.
Comparison
They constantly compare themselves to others. Your ex. Your friend's partner. Someone on social media. They feel threatened by anyone they perceive as better than them.
Criticism and Belittling
They put you down to feel taller. They mock your achievements, dismiss your opinions, and make you feel small. Insecurity often expresses itself as arrogance or constant fault finding.
Defensiveness
Any feedback feels like an attack. You cannot express a concern without them becoming defensive, angry, or shutting down. They cannot hear "you hurt me" without turning it into "you are attacking me."
Control
They try to control where you go, who you see, what you wear. They disguise it as concern or love, but it is fear. They are afraid of losing you, so they try to own you.
Emotional Volatility
They overreact to small things. A delayed text becomes a crisis. A missed call becomes evidence of betrayal. Life with them feels like walking on eggshells.
Victim Mentality
Nothing is ever their fault. They are always the victim. The world is against them. Their past traumas excuse their present behaviour. You end up apologising for things you did not do.
Testing
They test your love. They pick fights to see if you will stay. They threaten to leave to see if you will beg. They withdraw affection to see if you will chase.
Sabotage
They sabotage good moments. When things are going well, they pick a fight or create drama. Peace feels foreign to them. Chaos is familiar.
Things They Do
· Check your phone without permission
· Question you about your day in detail
· Show up unexpectedly to "surprise" you (monitor you)
· Get moody when you spend time with others
· Withhold affection as punishment
· Blow up your phone when you do not reply quickly
· Compare themselves to your ex or your friends
· Pick fights before important events
· Apologise dramatically then repeat the same behaviour
· Threaten to leave during arguments
The Damage
Insecurity is not a small flaw. It is a poison. Over time, you will find yourself shrinking to avoid their reactions. You will stop seeing friends. You will stop achieving openly. You will walk on eggshells in your own home. You will lose yourself trying to keep them calm.
And the sad part is that their insecurity becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. They fear you will leave, so they control you. The control suffocates you, and eventually you do leave. Then they say, "I knew it."
