@TheRestHistory Only got to listen to your coverage of the Irish war of independence and civil war. Absolutely amazing. I really wish this had been available when I was studying history for my Leaving Cert a gazillion years ago!! (Although I had a brilliant teacher so fared well anyway 😉)
@sophiegrenham Totally not surprised but I think it's fair. I can't stand people who bring oversize bags and then feign ignorance or else practically knock other people down to get the bulk of space in the overhead locker. Drives me nuts!!
@bertsbooks I had to give up on this half way through which is fairly unusual for me. I just got bored! Our book club is picking books which are quite left field of our normal genre. Currently reading Project Hail Mary which has a LOT of maths/engineering speak in there!
@bertsbooks I've given up on Butter. I rarely do it but was finding it very hard to keep going and my book club confirmed that the second half isn't any better. Starting Gabriel's Moon by one of my favourite authors William Boyd.
@EithneHarley Oh Eithne!! I’m so sorry for your loss. What a life!! She was an amazing woman and the legacy she has left with so many of us who attended @OurLadysSchool1 is second to none. RIP Nanette. 💔💔
@saloreilly@killianbyrne I agree - if the ref panel just let the game play on I'd be interested to know what would have happened. It makes Ireland look like a laughing stock which is an awful shame for the sport.
@TheBookshopMan@GabnDad I just read Swimming Lessons - wasn't mad on it at all. Finished The List of Suspicious Things last night. Loved it. Have now just started Careless People.
Child B is off on the trip of a lifetime with his TY group. He's bringing a spare suitcase to carry items that have been donated - see the list below and if you have anything at all from it that you could donate, just let me know thank you!
Our TY students are embarking on another trip to Nsobe in Zambia to help build classrooms for this amazing community. At this stage, we are asking for doantions of items (listed below) to bring to the village. Every item will make a significant difference to the people of Nsobe!
@Killybegsgirl Unfortunately there's a market for this because many parents with young children don't appear to want to manage their behaviour in cafés and restaurants.
