It sounds crazy, but this really works on most surfaces. Use another Sharpie and color over a small section (about an inch) of the original mark. While it’s still wet, immediately wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel. The solvent in the fresh ink reactivates the old ink so it lifts off. Work in small sections and repeat — it’s a little time-consuming but surprisingly effective.
