Ken Morrow was on the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" team and was on the Islanders' 1980 Cup-winning team ๐๐ฅ
At least one player will join Morrow after this year's #StanleyCup Final with Jack Eichel and Noah Hanafin on Vegas and Jaccob Slavin on Carolina.
#Isles Matthew Schaefer on @GMA just now was emotional as he was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy surrounded by his family, friends and the Martin family.
Just awesome stuff.
I don't tweet often anymore but this topic isn't one I can walk away from easily. Whether you're a 9-5 grinder or a NHL Captain, mental health is not a joke. You don't just get over it, like any other health condition. It requires help and care. Make sure everyone knows that.
The amount of comments under this post either trolling or people's real negative awareness and feelings regarding a human's mental health is unreal. And mostly men. Yet the "men struggle the most" with mental health line gets thrown around so often, the Movember initiative ...
"just get over it" used to be a unawareness problem. People didn't understand mental health. There is no excuse how today people can still believe that everyone deals with the same 'sad' and can just get over it by reading a comment and flipping the 'sad' switch...
The most impressive thing about John Sterling are all the highlights Iโm seeing of him NOT calling the Yankees. Braves, Celtics, Islanders etc. 36 yrs with one org but so prolific that he had stints with several other teams and sports. Guy was talkin sports his ENTIRE life
@mikemcc21@brenneis@stefen_rosner Def understood the injury risk aspect. Never saw them sending him down. But was curious what rule limited this move. Makes sense.
An emotional and angry Rick Bowness goes OFF on his #CBJ team after their 2-8-1 finish to the season: โThese guys, they donโt care. Losing is not important enough to them โฆ If Iโm back, weโre changing this freaking culture.โ
#Isles Matthew Schaefer on crowd chanting his name following final buzzer:
"These are the best fans in the league. I don't think I've had this much fun ever playing hockey."
