- Think about how difficult it is to keep all the stories in the Bible unchanged, word for word, for thousands of years. You’re gonna start missing little things here and there. What if one of those things is super important.
- Priesthood authority, the authority to act in the Name of Jesus Christ was lost. Of all the thousands of Christian sects out there teaching a thousand different little differences and interpretations in the Bible and the Gospel, which one is true? God restored this authority THROUGH Joseph Smith
- We believe the Bible is the word of God AS FAR AS IT IS TRANSLATED CORRECTLY. Every Christian sect has little different interpretations for every scripture in the Bible. Which one is the most correct?
If your answer is “It doesn’t matter and many of them can be correct at the same time” then you haven’t read your Bible. That’s the opposite of what I’ve read.

@daxiel1992 It’s a world wide church with a lot of new members that need it. Just listen to the spirit during the talks and you may get promptings you need that have nothing to do with the topic of the talk
Here’s the thing; you make a movie for $200M banking on the fact you believe a LOT of people are going to see it. You make a $40M movie knowing it’s not going to be for everyone. I’m sure the studio is pleased with how it is tracking. They’d panic if it was a $200M movie. This is a win
@OchoZaco In the US, but picking up steam in the rest of the world. That may say more about the direction morality is going in the US. Always thought leading up to the Second Coming it would become more and more unpopular to be LDS. Declining numbers in the US doesn’t make it less true
“Jerald and Sandra Tanner’s 1965 book 3,913 Changes in the Book of Mormon compared the 1830 edition with a 1964 edition and marked every difference they found, including spelling. They later described the bulk as “approximately 4,000 grammatical and spelling changes,” while highlighting a small number of word substitutions”
Doesn’t sound substantive…
