@wahoowa000 This is why UVa is set up for success in portal world. We have machinery to identify talent and value. Other schools still haven’t adapted.
@Delta You may want to send more people to your DEN baggage check in counter. You’re understaffed on New Years weekend? 3 hours early, self tagged bags and an hour into the line it’s not clear this line is going to make our flight time.
@duncancampbell Large REIT in SFH rentals: https://t.co/p8N2RoopN4 These sites are not precise so beware. But may serve your curiosity purpose.
Pretty comparable to solar. Though this is all public markets funding. Project returns on small scale could be markedly different.
@BSchwartzUVA@Justin_Ferber Bold Prediction: UVa and Indiana St are both getting in at the expense of two out of these four: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Miss State
@PaulSegal12 Combination of renewables and load growth. Interestingly capacity costs have been slashed. Have a feeling with load growth and push back on transmission that will be rising again.
@James_McGinniss@Jed_Trott@JonathanBL Unclear if extensible given unique CA factors. MA is probably closest - also driven by a unique gas market. As electrification takes hold in both spots and load increases - likely to see dist/trans investments amortized + cheap supply overwhelm. Hurts in short run though.
@James_McGinniss@Jed_Trott@JonathanBL CA: Massive investment in both dist & trans grid w/ no load growth. Big incentives internalized (which will roll off in next decade). Also wildfire and gas explosion impacts. Munis significantly cheaper. Load growth is key to spreading investment across load + gen
@JesseJenkins 100% right. CA, CO, and NY are moving in that direction with first steps like requiring developers to bear the cost of their gas network upgrades.
Details matter significantly here. EnergyStar COPs are a minimum in heating dominated climates. Skeptical of gas cherry picking.
@PeterOlivier If you’re not going Geo, the heat pump standard bearers are the Mitsubishi hyper heat and the Daikin Comfort which has a good variable speed unit with decent COPs under freezing.
@Xavier_Venom @MemGym Roach was not very effecient. He got all the possessions. Just barely over 1PPP because of 5 TOs and volume shooting. Neither was Filipowski. We did enough on defense to win this game. Problem was offense. Worst game of season on offense.
@EricSieckmann@Molson_Hart I’m not sure we need to bury every line. But use some common sense. I drive around and see trees enveloping power lines. Then I see utility crews. Should bury along high risk areas.
Doing well!
