Looking back, I was embarrassingly naive in 2016, taken in by the lies like so many others. But what truly astonishes me is how the older generation, who had benefited from decades of European stability, still chose to vote Leave. They knew better, or at least they should have.

Now in 2026, the younger generation, who will actually live in the future, overwhelmingly want to rejoin. The future belongs to them, not to those who’ve already had their time.

Britain’s place has always been in Europe, among our friends. History doesn’t wait for the past to catch up.

🇬🇧 Britain’s chief EU negotiator @HFalconerMP says the Burnham government wants a deeper, more ambitious relationship with Europe on trade, services, security and technology.

He also says plainly: We are part of Europe.

The 2024 Brexit red lines remain … for now.

But Falconer is deliberately talking about the art of the possible, while refusing to bind Labour’s next manifesto to those red lines.

The world has changed since 2016; Britain can’t change its geography.

Burnham could set off a “virtuous cycle” that takes Labour to semi-permanent power if he extends his campaign to ending England’s ultimate scam subscription: leasehold.

Labour should be for the grafters, not the grifters.

Dump the Starmer betrayal.

Andy, the ultimate subscription swindle is service charges.

Starmer was too swayed by Big Money to honour Labour’s manifesto promise to end leasehold.

But you can!

Slash money-for-nothing ground rents to a peppercorn (zero) from next year, not 2068 as Starmer planned.

Make the piper call the tune by cutting the red tape so leaseholders can finally control their service charges and sideline rip-off freeholders through universal Right to Manage.

Restrict development value, and set deferment and capitalisation rates favourably for leaseholders, so they can cheaply buy out the residual freehold.
