बैंक कर्मचारी हड़ताल पर हैं। कारण पूछने पर यही लगा कि जिस बैंक की नौकरी को अच्छी नौकरी में गिना जाता था, उसकी हालत बदतर हो गई है। टारगेट के नाम पर कर्मचारी देर शाम तक रोके जाते हैं, छुट्टी नहीं दी जाती है,
तनाव रोज़ का हिस्सा है। काम करने की जगह भी अच्छी नहीं है। ऐसा लगता है कि बैंकर को सज़ा दी जा रही है कि उन्होंने बैंक की नौकरी क्यों की। लोगों ने बताया कि अत्य��िक तनाव के कारण बीमारियाँ होने लगी हैं।

एक बैंकर ने यह भी बताया-

सुबह 8:00 बजे घर से निकलने वाला बैंकर रात को 8:00 या 9:00 बजे के बाद ही घर लौट पाता है, क्योंकि एनपीए (NPA - गैर-निष्पादित परिसंपत्ति) को रोकने का भारी दबाव होता है। हर खाते की मंथली ईएमआई (EMI) होती है, और यदि वह 90 दिनों तक जमा न हो, तो खाता एनपीए हो जाता है। ऐसे में रीजनल ऑफिस से ब्रांच हेड पर दबाव आता है कि यह खाता आज किसी भी हाल में एनपीए नहीं होना चाहिए। पहले केवल महीने की आखिरी तारीख को एनपीए रोकने का दबाव होता था, लेकिन अब हर सिंगल डे (प्रतिदिन) यह प्रेशर रहता है।

रात के 9:00 बज रहे होते हैं और रीजनल ऑफिस से फोन आता है कि "किसी भी तरह इस खाते को बचाइए।" थक-हारकर जब ब्रांच हेड को लगता है कि उसे अब घर जाना चाहिए, तो वह अपनी जेब से 2,000, 4,000 या 10,000 रुपये तक की ईएमआई खुद भर देता है। बाद में ग्राहक वह पैसा लौटाता नहीं है, जिससे बैंक मैनेजर के अपने पैसे डूब जाते हैं।

बैंक में दिनभर कई तरह के मानसिक तनाव झेलने पड़ते हैं। आपको रिकवरी के लिए फील्ड में निकलना होता है। वहाँ कोई ग्राहक आपको ब्लैकमेल करता है कि "मेरे घर मत आओ, नहीं तो मैं पैसा जमा नहीं करूँगा, सिर��फ़ फोन पर बात करो।" फोन पर बात करने के दौरान ग्राहक कभी-कभी अभद्र और गाली-गलौज वाली भाषा का प्रयोग करते हैं। उस तनाव में यदि मैनेजर के मुँह से गलती से भी कोई गलत बात निकल गई, तो ग्राहक उसकी कॉल रिकॉर्डिंग करके ब्लैकमेल करने लगता है।

कृपया बैंकर की बात सुनें । कोई रास्ता निकालें।

VIDEO | Delhi: On five-day banking system and bank operations on Sunday, BMS leader Girish Chandra Arya says, "This strike on the 28th, 29th, and 30th is not just for three days; before that, there is Saturday and Sunday. Although the government has declared Sunday as a working day. This strike has been called by the so-called UFBU. We have no call in this, so for us, banking will remain normal, just like normal banking. Regarding the call, we had an objection to working on Sunday because it was not necessary. Something has gone wrong somewhere. However, on the 23rd, we met the Secretary, DFS, and cleared up all clarifications, and they said they would inform us about the rest of the clarifications. So, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh is fully working regarding 5-day banking. And this is a very crucial time; this is the half-yearly closing time. So, we see a big conspiracy in this, as a strike was also called on the 11th. Before this, a strike was called on the 27th of January. We were also part of the 27th January strike. I feel that this strike is not for 5-day banking for bank employees; its motive is something else..."

A small query for @FinMinIndia @nsitharaman to ask bankers next week: Will working people need to take leave for all the banking functions that require physical visits to banks? Lockers, certain KYC updates, remittance-related issues, closing demant/ cards where banks have the habit of demanding physical presence? Plus follow-up for complaints. They are a service insutry like hotels -- will they agree to staggered holidays if they want to work 5 days?
