There are only a handful of people I have truly admired in my life. Each of them has shaped me in profound ways and taught me what it means to live with purpose, integrity, and conviction. The lessons I’ve learned—and continue to learn—from their lives are priceless. They have become living examples of the kind of man I aspire to be.
My Late Father
I am one of his greatest products. He taught me how to navigate this world with wisdom and humility. He instilled in me the importance of education—not just in the classroom, but in every experience life offers. From him, I learned to be content whether I have little or much, and to remain grateful in every season.
His lifestyle showed me the value of generosity, kindness, and hospitality toward both family and strangers. We had our share of difficult moments, and neither of us was perfect. But with time, I have learned to forgive both him and myself.
Since his passing, many of the lessons he quietly demonstrated throughout his life have become even clearer to me. I miss him deeply, and I believe he would be proud of the man I am becoming.
My Father. My First Mentor.
Late Dr. Myles Munroe
My spiritual father and mentor.
You taught me what authentic Christianity looks like. Your teachings have become a daily part of my life, and your voice still echoes in my mind whenever I begin to drift from the right path. One lesson of yours stands above the rest: “Don’t just listen to me—study the Bible and know God for yourself.” Those words changed my life. The life you lived on earth is a model I desire to follow. Thank you for dedicating your life to raising leaders and pointing people to God’s purpose.
May God forever bless the day I discovered your teachings.
My Mentor. My Friend.
Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) @Cristiano
You introduced me to football when you first arrived at Manchester United. Since then, I have watched your journey with admiration.
Your relentless pursuit of excellence has taught me that talent may open the door, but hard work, discipline, and resilience keep it open. You never settled for average, and that mindset has influenced me far beyond football.
I’m grateful to have lived in the same generation as one of the greatest athletes the world has ever seen.
My Mentor. My Friend.
Mr. Peter Obi @PeterObi
Growing up, politics was something I wanted nothing to do with. In my country, it often seemed dirty, discouraging, and devoid of integrity.
Then you came along and gave many of us a reason to believe that leadership could look different. Through your words, your lifestyle, and your conduct both in and out of politics, you have demonstrated that integrity still has a place in public service. Whenever I listen to you speak, I find myself asking, “What kind of man is this?”
Your approach in politic reminds me of the wisdom found in Matthew 10:16
Whether or not you ever become the leader of our nation, your impact is already undeniable. You have shown that a better Nigeria is possible with the right kind of leadership, and you have inspired countless people to believe again.
My Mentor. My Friend.
These men are more than people I admire, they are roadmaps to the life I want to live.
Their lives remind me that character matters more than fame, purpose is greater than success, and true greatness is measured not only by what we achieve, but by the lives we inspire and the legacy we leave behind.
I pray that one day, my life will inspire someone the way theirs has inspired me.
