Nobody, really. Dad/husband, airline pilot, small business owner, pretty much in that order. Skeptic, secular humanist, libertarian, pretty much in that order
Another great episode of @MightyHeaton ‘s excellent podcast. Think Team Blue or Team Red represent coherent philosophies? The Left-Right spectrum is a harmful illusion that divides us. It should be discarded if we ever hope to solve anything. https://t.co/zmJpceHFAL
Government creates the problem, denies the problem, acknowledges the problem, blames others for the problem, adopts measures that make the problem worse, and then claims credit for at least doing something about the problem.
@jjwinchester01@DeidreHenderson@Delta She didn’t say, “You’re scheduling your pilots too close to the max.” She said, “Your pilots just walked off the plane.” As if they just did it at a whim. Poorly worded at best.
@ZDoggMD Totally agree that we should not be subsidizing corn (or sugar) as we do, but I’m not sure your objection to HFCS is evidence based. See this article from @skeptoid https://t.co/QhwGI3EYlt

Had to replace driveshaft on Volvo XC90 after only 47k miles. @VolvoCarUSA refused to cover it because it was over the 4yr mark. Frustrating that @volvocars wouldn't stand behind their product and remedy an obvious manufacturer's defect. Cost me $2,000. Very disappointing.
@kmanguward regarding your recommendation of the Andrea Beaty collection on the last Reason Roundtable podcast - for which ages do you think they'd be appropriate? I'm thinking my 9yo daughter might think they're too "little kid" for her.
‘The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience — this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.’
