@Papaghostbear@Toneskeee Spiritually dead means unable to respond to God. Paul says:
Ephesians 2:4-5
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
@Toneskeee@OkNotThisTime "Interfered"?? I thank God that he "interfered" with me on my path to eternal damnation. I had no desire to follow Him until he gave me the faith to believe. I was dead spiritually until he raised me from the grave. I'm so grateful for that.
@CWadeBaker@PresbyInn@HwsEleutheroi I had heard he didn't fly any more. But as a purely hypothetical flight, I would really enjoy hearing him. That would be a seat I'd pay extra for. I've listened to almost all of his debates and would love to hear him face off with the pope.
@poperespecter1@StefanAsbom I wouldn't use the book if I didn't read it first. The quote can stand on its own. Simply because it doesn't fit with your view of justification does not disqualify it. Your quote has nothing to do with being justified before God. Only refers to living the Christian life.
@whpub@farmingandJesus Talk about the RCs ignoring scripture! Giving credit to Mary that belongs only to God. I'll stick with what Romans says:
"He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" -Romans 8:32
@mattjhedges11@gianlucadiddio And “Pope and the Councils” by Dollinger, a Catholic historian of renown who objected to the declaration of papal infallibility of Vatican 1 since he knew the history of the church.
