True, when we were stuck in traffic on the way back to NYC, Adeo asked me what I was going to do after PayPal/X and I said I always wanted to do something to advance space, but didn’t think there was anything private individuals could do.
The origin of SpaceX was doing a philanthropic mission to get the public excited about life on Mars, so that NASA’s budget could be increased to achieve that goal. There was no commercial ambition at the time.
The $50M was from the proceeds of the sale of PayPal to eBay.
After learning more about the limiting factors for humanity in space, it became obvious that the issue was a lack of advancement in rocket technology, in particular the failure to develop a fully reusable rocket, without which expanding consciousness beyond Earth is impossible.
this is one of the greatest times in history to run google ads
1. demand gen/youtube ads are working way better than they were 1-2 years ago
we’ve been getting a lot more creative angles and placements to hit this year.
a lot of brands that couldn’t make this channel work before are now scaling it to $20k-$50k/day in spend.
image ads on discover placement are a great example
every week i’m seeing more of them print inside client accounts.
they’ve become one of the strongest cold traffic formats we’re running.
google's also pushing a bunch of new features/upgrades on demand gen right now
you can tell they want this to become their version of meta ads
and it’s only going to get better in the next few years
2. there’s an insane amount of tof & mof traffic on google with barely any competition
especially inside search.
you can get in front of people researching a problem through informational searches
you can influence buyers evaluating different options through comparison searches
90% of brands don’t target these searches
and the brands who try…
they either can’t get these keywords profitable or they can’t scale them very far.
which leaves a massive opening for you to take advantage of
because let me tell you…
all of these keyword types can be highly profitable.
you can make multiple 6 to 7 figures… as long as you have the right funnel & landing page experience for them.
3. ai compresses a lot of the manual work inside the process
for the 2 points i’ve just talked about…
the unlock for demand gen is creative volume.
the unlock for those search placements is landing pages.
both can now be produced fast, at scale with ai.
so one of the biggest bottlenecks behind scaling them is getting pretty much removed.
on top of that
inside the agency we’ve been building a lot of workflows and automations to save us time on
competitor research
keyword research
data analysis
etc
basically:
> google’s opened up more traffic opportunities and placements than ever before
> the time required to launch and test them is lower than it’s ever been
and more importantly
most brands still think of google as a bottom funnel channel
i think eventually, people will wake up to how profitable google is at new customer acquisitions
and these advantages will shrink over time
but for now, it’s still wide open territory.
Most people use AI to save time.
The smartest businesses use AI to improve decision-making.
That's a much bigger advantage.
For example:
→ Faster customer responses
→ Better lead prioritization
→ Smarter follow-ups
→ Better operational visibility
Most people use AI to create content.
I'm more interested in using AI to reduce operational chaos.
Where do you think AI creates the most value today?
• Content
• Sales
• Customer Support
• Operations
• Something else?
Anthropic is reportedly approaching a ~$1 trillion valuation.
A few thoughts:-
> Most people still think AI is just chatbots and content generation.
The real value is becoming business infrastructure.
> For individuals and businesses, the biggest opportunity isn't building the next Anthropic.
It's learning how to leverage AI to become more productive, efficient and valuable.
The gap between AI adopters and non-adopters may become significant over the next few years.
Anthropic just reached a ~$965B valuation.
Crazy part isn't the number.
It's how fast AI companies are becoming core infrastructure for businesses worldwide.
Feels like we're watching the next major platform shift happen in real time. #AI#Automation
Over the last few months, I've been building a dealership sales tracking system in Excel.
Started as a way to solve daily operational challenges.
Now I'm thinking about turning it into a complete operating system for dealerships.
@Kyriakos_Pelek Still testing with Meta Ads Automation with messenger and whatsapp with @imbotpenguin and still in learning phase honestly.
I’m more interested in response speed and follow-up systems right now than the platform itself.
Starting to learn and build in public.
Exploring how AI, automation and digital marketing can help dealerships grow better.
A lot to learn.
Excited for the journey.
Would love suggestions from people already building in this space.
