I’ve seen this happen at a tire shop when a semi truck was coming and the kid was chasing a ball thankfully the bystanders close enough caught her just in time like this.

Also why I teach kids to let the ball go, never chase it towards a road.

BREAKING: Tornado just occurred in Hammond, Louisiana, a few minutes ago.

This was not tornado-warned, but was severe-warned for damaging winds. A couplet quickly appeared on radar as storms converged, then led to a weak and brief tornado near the Walmart Supercenter on the west side of town. Damage is unknown, but many residents are reporting power outages throughout town.

Live emergency update on severe weather and #tornado threat across the Dakotas into southeastern Saskatchewan this late afternoon and evening!

We see two target areas for tornadoes: (1) closer to the surface low southeastern SK into northwestern ND and

(2) higher ceiling target in central SD in the wake of morning MCS. A storm may not form here but could go big if initiation happens.

Hurricane Lowell has made his turn to the north-north-east and will pass just west of Kauai later tonight. Very rare loop to see a storm of this intensity approaching Hawaii from this direction.
