@girdley Have you actually been banned from Applebee's? I'm in San Antonio til Friday, would enjoy talking roller coasters and fireworks and theme park bans and restaurant bans over a Tripple Dipper at Chili's.
@JimShull If I recall correctly, the original mechanism was invented by PTC for the "Crazy Daisy" and "Cuddle-up" rides almost a century ago. Really cool mechanical system at play, and at its core deceptively simple.
@sacketology So real...it's a battle my dad fought for years before he passed. He once got so upset that a @BWWings manager wouldn't tune into a couple college football games that he left without paying his tab. He was riddled with guilt and drafted this letter, but was ignored.
@ericcrawford Call me petty, but there's little more satisfying than having a Sunday cup of coffee while reading two @ericcrawford articles: One of a Cards win, one of a Cats loss. Great way to relax on a sunny Sunday.
@OnlineHyde Andrew, I've done that trip a couple of times and there might be a little exaggeration in your room attendant's caution, but there was definitely a few moments that felt more like an old Arrow coaster instead of railroad tracks!
@barrettjoneill@rohde88 Incidentally the exact features we're looking for and the exact features that are rare in combination for the size building we're seeking.
I just love this video... This is Gabby, an African Grey parrot at a bird rescue / boarding house I've started volunteering at. All the residents have interesting personalities, but Gabby has been hard to crack. Here she's showing me what she thinks of my napkin.
@girdley@lawyer4SMBs I was invited to a 'business dinner' at a Brazilian steak place by a client who will never want for anything (European folks in shipping would know him instantly). His yacht was used as the villain's lair in a James Bond film (for real). He used a coupon when the bill came.
@Land_of_Giants Lol. I mentioned to my son that if I were ever a betting man, I definitely would have put something down on Cal +18.5. I love the Cards, but I also know them too well...
