In light of the recent National Policy Guidelines on ending HIV stigma & discrimination, we will be Uniting Deaf communities in Soroti district to end HIV AIds stigma and Discrimination.
We hope to promote an inclusive and integrated response to HIV/AIDS in the deaf community.

Deaf people in Uganda have historically been excluded from academics because discrimination is still so pervasive in the educational system. It is time for ardent advocacy and a focus on the experiences of those who are deaf in order to promote the growth of the Deaf community.

History points to a trend of such results, every year this silently goes without any action. The rights of children to an education Art 30, their rights as Children Art. 34, their rights as a disability minority Art. 35, their rights as a language minority group Art 37, Art. 41..

Out of 263 deaf pupils, 0 got a 1st Division in the just released PLE results.
Late exposure to sign language for deaf children hampers their ECD.

In a Deaf- led church a service is 5 hours. Announcements, sharing information, meet and greet take 3.5 hours of that time.

We need more Deaf-led churches they clearly promote access to information and social coherence.
