@GTGamesLLC I just got a notification that Compile was back in stock but when I click on the link (within a minute of getting the email) it was sold out. Did it really sale out that fast or was it a bad notification?
Good Morning @GavinVerhey
Is there any chance we'll be getting a Fallout teaser list from you? GMM doesn't look like it lines up well this time around.
@emmadpartlow Seems to me it's largely a case of internet parroting combined with a bit of nostalgia. Many who were around during the banning felt it was an unjust banning, now some of those people are content creators who lament about it to their communities who amplify it. SSDD
@LucasAl10476140 @SaffronOlive It's possible we could see something in the emergency ban period post WoE. By then LotR won't be the most recent set and they might feel more inclined to ban one of the chase cards. I think it will largely depend on how the modern meta develops and if it keeps it's diversity.
@SaffronOlive There was next to zero chance they were going to ban LotR chase cards while the set is still the most recent release. Particularly given how diverse the PT was. They have already shown with MH2 cards that they are fine with high play rates if the decks are diverse.
@SaffronOlive True. Currently one of the big things standard is lacking is synergy decks. Instead relying on individually powerful cards. More sets means more of a chance to hit critical mass on a particular synergy/strategy/tribe.
@godofgrenades @SaffronOlive Because of playtesting. If they just dropped a set, every time they added a set, their would be 10 different standards they had to playtest new cards in rather than 2. That would dramatically increase the chance of a broken interaction slipping through the cracks.
Dungeon games don't need to gigantic to be great. I just entered a giveaway to win Tiny Epic Dungeons Deluxe prize package from @Gamelyn_Games! Would be epic to win! #giveaway#boardgames#giftideas https://t.co/6L0iMJJtzX
@ManaCurves If I had to guess, I'd say it's a novelty hot, food challenge sort of thing. The same way a single One-Chip Challenge chip could cost you $20 (back before they were at every 7-11).
@TBloodOnMyHands @tragicbirdapp I suspect it's imagining the way the older generation might say it. "ohh he's one of those homosexuals". Which, you know, I can see why someone might be bothered by that. Although, obviously telling someone what to call themselves is just strange energy.
@SaffronOlive I'd love to hear their reasoning on how overprinting product damages their brand. There are 30K magic cards, if 300 more cards came out last year, it's spitting in the ocean in terms of impacting design space. All overprinting does is impact short term sales.
@SaffronOlive As a business analyst, I can tell you this isn't a coincidence. Either the BA doing that valuation was a magic player or didn't know shit about how magics secondary markets work and googled it. Either way, it's no surprise that it aligned with the twitter sphere.
@hothqueenofsnow I consider this a flavor fail 99% of the time, with the exception of tribal decks without a commander. If someone wants to bring tribal Homarids and has Morophon at the helm I'll give them a pass.
