I’ve had a few pull-quotes in my days but not often do I get one for a major Hollywood horror film like SMILE so this is pretty F**king cool when it happens and for a movie you love cause SMILE is F**king Terrifying. Go see it and see it big and loud.
After so many years of silence from both properties, it's kind of insane to get big FRIDAY THE 13TH news (Crystal Lake trailer) and big A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET news (Paramount developing a new movie) on the same random day in July. It's definitely been the Summer of Horror! 🔥
i will say lindsey graham being asked by a reporter how mitch mcconnell is doing, answering “i don’t know, i’m going to check right now” and then dying is hilarious
There’s a moment in Evil Dead Burn that equal parts disgusted me & turned me on and I need to know if I still have a chance to see the pearly gates despite my degeneracy.
EVIL DEAD BURNS reminded me of EVIL DEAD (2013) where before the deadites even appear our characters are battling serious shit. One with addiction and the other family & domestic violence and to pair that with this much violence makes it an extremely grueling experience.
EVIL DEAD BURNS is one mean mother fucker which means it’s also pure Evil Dead. A nasty and grueling experience. Sébastien Vanicek brings his French extremities with confidence and ferocity.
TWO POST CREDIT SCENES!
This franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Fuck yeah! 🤘

Genuinely think there's a correlation between how much somebody's willing to get beat up in a horror movie and how successful they'll be in the industry.
Could tell Samara Weaving was gonna be a star after Ash vs. Evil Dead.
@acosta__nick Man is always making the very best of everything he touches. No doubt it would be an all timer. Like the guy mentioned it be on the level of The Shining.
Christopher Nolan says he would love to make a horror movie & is searching for the right idea.
“l think it's a genre that's essentially cinematic… you're really trying to give the audience a feeling of what the characters are experiencing.”

Every Evil Dead since 2013 has been getting the same criticisms - too dark, not funny, not Raimi - and they still hit. I don’t know why reviewers waste word count over “it’s not Sam” this late in the day
