I understand why people feel a kind of inescpable sense of pervasive doom about the world, but as someone who has covered climate for 20 years, these past two years have been more promising than anything we've ever seen. There actually is some light where there wasn't before.

Looking past some of the recent milestones (which the article mentions), the advancement of enabling technologies such as HTS magnets, computation/optimization, and additive manufacturing will be huge for the industry

SCOTUS decision on WV v EPA is out. Im actually breathing a sigh of relief. In what may be best of plausible outcomes, a radical SCOTUS that has been tearing up precedent all term left EPAβs authority to regulate climate-warming gases intact, though more narrowly constrained.
