I sometimes peruse this godforsaken realm for amusement or informative purposes.
Content here may be questionable or unsafe depending on topics discussed.
This thread will serve as an evidence archive for a select few arguments against Puppychan which still hold true to this day. Most evidence will be within the past few months to ensure that it is relevant to all current issues Puppychan still exhibits.
Below are the arguments.
@leoporidized @AlevIsC00l @BnuuyBunMeri @rottingnoel @hesatyr I will not claim their current identity is false, but I advise to exercise caution and have healthy skepticism rather than immediately accept what they claim as. What you are saying to make another sound worse than they may be just might be what Puppychan/Salem wants you to say.
@leoporidized @AlevIsC00l @BnuuyBunMeri @rottingnoel @hesatyr I rarely return here, but I wish to provide a bit of clarification on this.
Puppychan has been known to utilize their online identity and however they claim to be to obtain advantage over others they dislike or disagree with.
It is a shame that mob mentality cultivated by influencers can force a company’s hand to make rash decisions for the sake of allowing the mob to commit illegal activities because of simple disagreement.
Remember that the burden of proof fallacy exists. If you propose a point or claim, you must provide your proof for it. The same applies to counterpoints and rebuttals.
Replying to source requests with “look it up” is neglectful sourcing and proofing of your claim.
@Pexie_ Knowing Puppychan’s pattern, I expect the account to be reactivated in either about a week’s time or within a week of it reaching the permanent deletion date.
@willowrphoenix I knew about them when the Antoons drama first surfaced. Seeing how they and their following have treated others after the drama encouraged me to speak out against them.
A combination of anecdotal experiences and seeing the state of the art community also fueled my efforts.
@puppkittyfan1 Although this looks more structured and genuine compared to the other apology and clarification posts you have made within the past year and more, I will wait to see if your actions will reflect your words.
Some of the early replies to the post read as short-sighted exclamations. I am sure none of them read everything within the post’s link.
Regarding the post, it is another apology attempting to admit mistakes. I will add it to the master thread later.
@thegoatbOi666 So that you are updated, they now use the handle Welwraith. Their Inkplasm handle is defunct, and the account using it is barely in use.
They are still relatively popular compared to other artists, boasting 60+ thousand followers on the Welwraith account.
I see all the artists I will be mentioning as perpetuators, victims, or hypocrites. They have all drawn or engaged with questionable or NSFW content in one way or another.
Hopefully, the thread will provide some clarification and discourage exceptions and idolizing.
I have merely surveyed for long enough. It is time to help unravel the art community monstrosity this site has nurtured.
There are a handful of somewhat associated artists, both of age and not of age, I will be mentioning in an upcoming thread.
I will keep observing the communities develop over time. Anyone with further knowledge of these artists and anyone associated with or similar to them is free to share what they know. Maybe my focus on this account will change more to them as I become more informed.
My experience on here attempting to convince others what kind of person Puppychan is gave me some insight into the art world of Twitter. One name I have seen mentioned alongside hers was Inkplasm, for example. People have blamed both artists for the art community's current state.
There must be some method to help both spread awareness of this while also help mitigate its negative effects, like inappropriate engagement and the enabling of grooming circles. Maybe people will understand in time, but I am unsure. I am not even sure of how to approach this.
